John Lake is an assassin who’s better at his job than people credit. Average, for sure. Mostly.
I write his stories.

Me.
Resume stuff: International Relations at Sewanee College and law at the University of Georgia School of Law. Then the Army. There was Counterintelligence Agent school, then JAG Corps.
I’ve lived in Italy, Germany, and Korea, and traveled a lot. Units ranged from a tank brigade to the Army Staff. Duties included deployments to Kosovo and Afghanistan, serving as the legal advisor to an OSD Security Studies Institute in Bavaria, and serving as a prosecuting attorney.

I like reading, travel, and I’ve done tons of shit: sailing, SCUBA, rock climbing, mountaineering, skiing, skydiving, motorcycling. Even flying lessons (I sucked at that).
My stories draw on those experiences. The goal is to put you vividly in each scene, highlighting cultures and people (and snacks) around the world. Travel with me, and skip the coach seat!
I live in San Antonio, Texas with my partner Angie, dogs Boerne and Laredo, and cats Skip, Gizmo, and Bad Luck. I also serve as Treasurer of the San Antonio Writer’s Guild.
